Collection: Hugo Simberg

Hugo Simberg prints and artwork. Hugo Simberg (24 June 1873 – 12 July 1917) was a Finnish symbolist painter and graphic artist.

Simberg's paintings often depict macabre and supernatural themes. Simberg's art features skulls and skeletons, the devil and fire.

A graduate of the Drawing School of the Viipuri Friends of Art, Simberg also studied at the Drawing School of the Finnish Art Society from 1893 to 1895 (where he later taught) and under Akseli Gallen-Kallela at Kalela in Ruovesi.

In 1904 Simberg decorated the interior of Finland's St John's church in Tampere (now Tampere Cathedral).

Like all our high-quality prints, our Simberg prints are made with love and care.
